💡Quick Answer

The four Cirque du Soleil shows we measured in Las Vegas (O, Mystère, KÀ and Michael Jackson ONE) are listed at 90 minutes with no intermission, and 38 of the 39 reviewers who timed them say 90. Absinthe is listed at about 80 and is the one show where reviewers call the length short. Blue Man Group lists 90 to 105, but six of the 17 reviewers who timed it report less. The Wizard of Oz at Sphere is listed at about 75 minutes.

Ninety minutes is the Las Vegas standard, and it holds

Eighty reviewers across seven shows say how long the show they saw lasted. For the four Cirque du Soleil productions, what the production lists and what the reviewers report are the same number.

ShowListed by the productionWhat reviewers who timed it say
💧 O90 minutes90 (8 of 8)
🎪 Mystère90 minutes90 (13 of 13)
🏯 KÀ90 minutes90 (9 of 10; one says 80 to 90)
🕺 Michael Jackson ONE90 minutes90 (8 of 8)
🥁 Blue Man Groupabout 90 to 105 minutesabout 90 (11 of 17); 75 (4); a little over an hour (2)
🍸 Absintheabout 80 minutesfrom under an hour to 90 (17 reviewers)
🃏 Shin Limnot published90 (7 of 7)
🌪️ The Wizard of Oz at Sphereabout 75 minutesno representative sample

Shin Lim's show reads the same way: all seven reviewers who give a length say ninety minutes. We could not find a running time published by the production, so that row rests on the reviews alone.

“The show is just long enough to enjoy without getting bored; 90 minutes in total.”

— TripAdvisor, 5 stars, September 2023

The trade-off: a fixed ninety-minute format makes an evening easy to plan around dinner, and it also means the length tells you almost nothing about which show to pick. The differences between these shows are in what fills the ninety minutes.

Absinthe is the show reviewers call short

Absinthe is listed at about 80 minutes, and the 17 reviewers who timed it disagree with each other more than for any other show: their figures run from under an hour to ninety minutes.

What sets it apart is the verdict. Ten of those 17 say the show is short, or too short for what the ticket cost. In each of the other six shows, no more than two reviewers say anything like it.

“The show is too short at 80 minutes, and afterward we were shuffled back out into the courtyard.”

— TripAdvisor, 2 stars, July 2025

“I thought this show was good but it only lasted 75 minutes and I paid something like £350 for it !”

— TripAdvisor, 3 stars, April 2022

Not all of them are complaining. Some are saying they wanted more.

“80 minutes just wasn’t long enough!”

— TripAdvisor, 5 stars, April 2024

The trade-off: a shorter show in a small tent is part of what makes Absinthe feel close and loud, and it is also what makes the price per minute higher than anything else on this list. If you weigh a ticket by the hour, this is the one to think about.

Blue Man Group runs shorter in the reviews than on its listing

Blue Man Group lists its show at roughly 90 to 105 minutes. Of the 17 reviewers who timed it, eleven put it at about ninety, four say 75 minutes and two say a little over an hour.

“Show lasted 75 minutes, including audience hype up at beginning and curtain call at end.”

— TripAdvisor, 1 star, April 2024

“The show lasted 91 minutes.”

— TripAdvisor, 5 stars, November 2024

We cannot tell from the reviews whether the show was shorter on some nights or whether some reviewers started their clock late. What the gap does tell you is that nobody in this sample reports anything near 105 minutes.

The trade-off: a listed range protects the production, and it leaves you planning around the long end. For booking dinner or a second show, the reviewers' ninety is the more useful number.

The same ninety minutes, judged both ways

The length is rarely the complaint on its own. Where it is, the same ninety minutes is described as over in a moment by some reviewers and as an ordeal by others.

“This hour and a half show felt like 10 minutes.”

— TripAdvisor, 5 stars, October 2025

“90 minutes of watching a bunch of jumping around was too long.”

— TripAdvisor, 2 stars, August 2023

The more specific version shows up in fifteen reviews across six shows: the writer says that out of roughly ninety minutes, only ten to thirty were the part they came for.

“In a 90 minute show there was no more than 20 minutes that was actually worth watching.”

— TripAdvisor, 1 star, October 2024

Six of those fifteen are about KÀ, which is where the pattern is strongest.

The trade-off: asking how long a show is answers the wrong question for most people. The question these reviews answer is how much of the running time is the acrobatics, the music or the illusion you bought it for, and that varies far more than the clock.

The Wizard of Oz at Sphere is a shortened film

The Wizard of Oz at Sphere is listed at approximately 75 minutes, and doors open 45 minutes before the time on the ticket. The original 1939 film runs 102 minutes, so the Sphere version is shorter by more than twenty minutes.

Sphere has no representative sample in our corpus, so we do not count anything about it. Some of the low-rated reviews we collected noticed the cut, and we quote them rather than counting them.

“I said to my wife I don't remember this movie being that short, so we looked it up and the Wizard of Oz should run 1 hour and 42 minutes.”

— TripAdvisor, 3 stars, October 2025

“W of OZ, Expensive, Severely Cut Movie - Disappointing”

— TripAdvisor, 2 stars, September 2025

The trade-off: a shorter cut fits more screenings into a day and leaves the dome to do the work. If you know the film well, expect to notice what is missing; if you are going for the venue, the running time matters less than where you sit.

Method and Limits

This article reads the representative samples of seven shows in our corpus (reviews collected without filtering by rating): O, Mystère, KÀ, Michael Jackson ONE, Absinthe, Blue Man Group and Shin Lim. We pulled every sentence that gave a length, 143 in all, and read each one. Eighty give the length of the show itself; the rest are queues, door times, technical stops, people who left early or the first few minutes. Each of the 80 is recorded with the figure the reviewer gave.

The listed lengths were read on each production's own site on October 16, 2026: Cirque du Soleil for O, Mystère, KÀ and Michael Jackson ONE, Blue Man Group's own site, Spiegelworld for Absinthe and Sphere's page for The Wizard of Oz. Shin Lim's site does not publish a length. The 102-minute running time of the original film, released in 1939, was checked against its standard reference listing in October 2026. Running times and door times are set by each production and change; confirm them before booking.

Sphere has no representative sample, so nothing about it is counted; the two Sphere quotes come from reviews collected from low ratings only. The fifteen reviews in H2.4 were read one by one and are reported as fifteen, not as a rate.

Reviewers' figures are their own estimates and are reported as such. Quotes are reproduced exactly as written, including the writers' spelling and spacing, and each was checked word for word against the stored review. Figures describe reviews published up to September 2026.
